Hi, I’m Andrea — Here’s My Story
Remote Data Annotation Specialist with a passion for precision, learning, and AI.

What I Do
I’m a remote freelance data annotation specialist with over twelve years of experience supporting AI and machine learning teams across the globe. I specialize in annotating image, text, and audio data — helping machines learn from clean, accurate, and high-quality datasets.
Throughout my career, I’ve worked on diverse datasets in fields like computer vision, autonomous systems, and natural language processing. Whether it’s bounding boxes, semantic segmentation, or audio transcription, I deliver precise, thoughtful annotations using a range of platforms and tools.
My core areas of expertise include:
Image, text, and audio data annotation
Quality Assurance (QA) and annotation review
Tools like CVAT, SuperAnnotate, Labelbox, and others
Working independently and effectively in remote, distributed teams
What Sets Me Apart
Over time, I’ve developed what I like to call an “annotation sense” — a mix of intuition and precision that allows me to make quick, accurate decisions without second-guessing. This skill has led to me being consistently selected for QA teams, where I’m trusted with reviewing work and maintaining top-tier data quality.
I’m dependable, detail-oriented, and understand how crucial clean data is for training reliable AI models. From identifying subtle audio differences to distinguishing crops from weeds in aerial imagery, I approach each task with care and focus.
Key strengths:
Proven track record in computer vision annotation, NLP annotation, and model validation
High accuracy and consistency, even under tight deadlines
Quick to adapt, eager to learn, and open to feedback
Strong communication, especially in QA processes
Familiarity with a wide range of annotation tools
Flexible availability, including for urgent batch labeling
If you’re looking for someone who values precision, efficiency, and quality, I’m confident in my ability to deliver results that meet and exceed expectations.
Projects I’ve Contributed To
Here’s a quick overview of some of the projects and industries I’ve supported:
1. Christian Non-Profit (Bible Translation & Language AI)
I contributed to a Christian non-profit initiative dedicated to making the Bible more accessible through translation efforts. As part of this work, I also participated in Semantic Textual Similarity (STS) tasks—analyzing pairs of sentences to assess how similar their meanings were, regardless of wording. This required a deep understanding of language, nuance, and context to support more accurate and meaningful translations.
2. Public Safety Technology Company (Gunshot Detection)
I worked on a project that supported public security efforts through advanced audio analysis. My role involved annotating audio recordings of various sounds such as gunshots, fireworks, car brakes, and human voices. This work contributed to the development of a gunshot detection system where audio sensors detect gunfire, triangulate its location, and alert emergency responders within seconds.
3. Smart City Cleanliness Platform
This platform offers AI-driven solutions for urban cleanliness and sustainable waste management. I contributed to the development of this platform by performing semantic segmentation of different types of street litter and annotating images using bounding boxes and polygons. This helped train AI models to support cleaner and more efficient cities.
4. Agricultural AI Startup (Germany)
I worked on a farm management software platform that uses AI to identify and distinguish between crops and weeds in agricultural fields. My role involved annotating various plant types using bounding boxes, polygon annotations, and semantic segmentation. By applying advanced tools and techniques, I ensured precise, high-quality labels that improved model accuracy and helped farmers make better decisions in real-time. This work directly supported smarter, more efficient farm management through reliable agricultural data annotation.
5. Retail Tech Project (Smart Shelf Product Recognition)
I worked on annotating retail shelf images for product recognition, supporting mobile scanning and inventory automation tools.
Advanced data annotation techniques are essential for modernizing retail operations, and this project directly contributed to that shift. By accurately labeling products in both images and videos, we helped retailers enhance customer interaction and adapt to evolving consumer behavior.
Beyond the Work
When I’m not labeling data or reviewing annotations, I’m usually outdoors—cycling through nature or exploring new trails. I especially enjoy traveling with my bike, discovering scenic routes in different countries. It’s how I recharge: combining movement, freedom, and adventure.
I’m also passionate about art and love visiting museums and exhibitions whenever I can. And when it’s time to unwind, you’ll often find me reading horror novels that stir the imagination and keep me on the edge of my seat.
In my free time, I volunteer with non-profit organizations focused on protecting animals and the environment. I support them by building WordPress websites, optimizing SEO, and handling digital marketing strategies. Currently, I’m also learning Python to expand my expertise in AI and machine learning—fields I care deeply about and am excited to grow in professionally.
Continuous learning and meaningful contribution matter to me, both in my work and in how I spend my time. Whether it’s delivering clean data or helping a non-profit amplify its voice, I always bring focus, heart, and curiosity to the table.
Let’s create accurate, high-quality data together.
